Ron Hurley, DSc., CPP has more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, security, security training and administration, and crisis management in K through 12 and higher education facilities.
Dr. Hurley is acutely aware of the challenges faced by educational institutions, which are only exacerbated by budget limitations. Ron’s vast experiences make him uniquely qualified in security and safety assessments of school policies and procedures; offering common sense solutions in the development and implementation of emergency management plans; the evaluation of risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments; investigations; review of security and safety best practices; crime prevention programs; large special event planning and training.
Ron has been recognized many times for his accomplishments in the field of public safety and most recently was the winner of the 2019 Campus Safety Magazine – Director of the Year for Higher Education.
Ron is an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International and a former co-chair of the School Safety and Security Council. He is also a former regional vice president for the New Jersey/Pennsylvania areas.
